In the Flower Room at Mary Geoise, Imu had heard Saturn's calls. He simply did not want to bother with that useless fool.
Saturn had failed to accomplish even the minor task he had assigned him and had instead alerted Oak. Imu's patience with him was nearly exhausted.
Besides, Saturn was only calling to ask for his support. But after the battle at the Sabaody Archipelago, he could not leave the Holy Land in his true body again so soon. Otherwise, he would pay an even greater price than before, one severe enough to damage his very essence.
Yet without descending in his true body, he would be no match for Oak even if he possessed someone else. For a moment, frustration consumed him.
Oak was becoming an increasingly thorny problem, to the point that Imu was almost completely out of options. Nothing like this had ever happened before. Not even Joy Boy or Davy D. Jones had been this difficult to deal with.
Although he had been weaker than those two back then, he had still managed to eliminate them through certain means, becoming the world's sole ruler and governing it for eight hundred years.
But with Oak as he was now, the only way to destroy him completely was for Oak to enter the Holy Land alone, and for Imu to pay an enormous price while drawing on the Holy Land's accumulated resources.
He did not want to pay that price. It would shake the foundations of his rule, leaving him unable to exert such absolute control over his subordinates. And Oak would not be foolish enough to storm the Holy Land alone.
