Before long, the healing machine emitted a crisp chime, and the progress bar on the screen showed that treatment was complete.

A medical staff member came over, took out two Poké Balls, and handed one each to Xinhai and Flannery. "The treatment went smoothly. They've recovered most of their strength, and their wounds have healed. They just need to rest for another half day before they're fully back to normal."
"Thank you!" they said in unison, accepting their respective Poké Balls.
Xinhai could sense the much steadier mental fluctuations coming from Mightyena's Poké Ball, and his heart settled considerably.
Flannery carefully cradled Rapidash's Poké Ball as well, her face showing both heartache and relief.
"All right, Xinhai, your partners are still training in the Sunlight Room. Shall we go take a look?" Flannery suggested.
"Yeah, okay." Xinhai nodded. He also wanted to see how Blaziken, Gardevoir, and the others were doing with their training.
The two left the treatment room, passed through the Gym's somewhat complicated corridors once more, and headed toward the Sunlight Room.
Along the way, Flannery curiously asked Xinhai about his previous travels and challenges at other Gyms, while Xinhai briefly shared some interesting stories and sights he had encountered.
They were close in age, and both were Trainers who loved Pokémon battles, so they got along quite well.
When they pushed open the Sunlight Room's heavy insulated doors again and the familiar, suffocatingly dry Qi rushed over them, Xinhai was mentally prepared this time.
The canyon core of the Sunlight Room looked much the same as when they had left. The blazing Little Sun hung high overhead, while numerous Fire-type Pokémon continued training intently in their own spots.
