The scenes etched deep in Xinhai's memory were slowly being awakened.
"Eevee..."
A soft little voice came from beside him.
Xinhai, who had been lying in his chair, turned to look. Eevee had jumped up from the floor, its large brown eyes gazing at him as its fluffy tail gently swayed behind it.
"Eevee?" (Xinhai, have you finished making the Pokéblocks?)
Xinhai reached out and patted Eevee's little head, his fingertips passing through its soft, fluffy brown fur as he gently rubbed the base of its ears.
"They're ready. I was just about to let you try one!"
He stood up, walked over to the desk, and took two pale orange Pokéblocks from a sealed container. He held one out to Eevee and kept the other in his hand.
"Here, give it a try. I adjusted this based on a common Normal-type Pokéblock formula, altering its original energy composition into a version better suited for you. It hasn't been fully refined yet, but it should work better than the original."
"Eevee!" Eevee's eyes lit up. It leaned closer and sniffed hard with its little nose before opening its mouth and gently biting the Pokéblock.
It chewed a few times, its large brown eyes narrowing slightly as its fluffy tail swayed lazily behind it. A thoughtful expression appeared on its little face as it savored the taste.
"Eevee..." (It feels pretty good...)
It swallowed, licked the corner of its mouth, then looked up at Xinhai and considered the sensation carefully once more.
"Eevee, Eevee!" (The nourishing effect on Inner Focus and the body really is better than the Basic Energy Cubes made from the original formula. But the increase in Type energy seems to have weakened. The improvement isn't as good as the Pokéblocks from the original formula.)
