Dozens of air vents were evenly distributed across the ceiling and surrounding walls. Each set had its own grille and adjustment mechanism, arranged as neatly as a honeycomb.
The vents varied in size and shape—the ones on the ceiling were circular, while those on the walls were long and narrow. They were spread throughout the room in a carefully planned layout, clearly designed to create combinations of airflow from different angles and directions.
"This is it." Xinhai turned to Beedrill hovering beside him. "Go in first. I'll control the wind from outside."
Beedrill nodded, slightly adjusted the angle of its wings, and flew toward the heavy metal door.
Xinhai swiped his card over the sensor beside the door. The metal door gave a solid click and slowly slid inward.
The door was thick, and the sealing material around its edges fit perfectly. It was clear that once shut, it could completely isolate the inside from the outside.
Beedrill did not hesitate. It drew its two limbs in tight against its abdomen and flew through the doorway.
Xinhai stopped in front of the control panel, resting his fingers lightly on the dial above the screen. Through the reinforced glass window, his gaze settled on the figure slowly descending into the center of the Wind Chamber.
Beedrill found a suitable spot in the middle of the Wind Chamber and hovered there. Its wings beat at a steady frequency as its red compound eyes turned toward the glass window, and it nodded at Xinhai.
Xinhai gave a slight nod and pressed the start button on the control panel.
A low hum came from inside the walls, as though some enormous machine had been awakened. Then, the grilles over the vents began to rotate with a fine mechanical whir.
"Let's start by trying level-four
