Petalburg Gym was much larger than Xinhai had expected. Beyond the entrance hall lay a broad main corridor, its floor paved with light-gray, slip-resistant tiles. Wall lamps stood every few meters, casting soft, even light.
As they walked, Mentor Toyokawa introduced the place. "The Main Training Ground is at the end of the corridor. It's fairly large and can accommodate several groups of Trainers conducting battle training at once. It's equipped with a complete Gravity system and energy shielding devices, making it suitable for high-intensity sparring."
"There are ten Independent Training Rooms on the left side of the Main Training Ground, numbered one through ten. They come with basic facilities as well as various Type simulation devices, which can be adjusted according to your needs."
Mentor Toyokawa stopped before a door and operated the touch panel beside it a few times, entering Xinhai's information into the system. Then he pushed open the door and gestured for Xinhai to look inside.
The room was slightly smaller than an Independent Training Room at Rustboro Gym, but it was just as fully equipped.
The gray stone slabs on the floor were sturdy and level. Energy targets, Gravity training platforms, and several specialized devices lined the walls, leaving the room neat and orderly overall.
There was also a small Pokémon treatment device in the corner. While it could not compare to the larger equipment at a Pokémon Center, it was more than enough to handle minor injuries from daily training.
"Not bad." Xinhai nodded, his gaze sweeping across the room's layout and equipment. "It's far better than the training rooms at the training facility. Thank you for allowing me to use this Independent Training Room."
Mentor Toyokawa smiled. "You're welcome. You're one of the Trainers here for cross-Gym special training. These resources were prepared
