After defeating a Great Jin-backed invasion and reaching the Nascent Soul Realm, he confronted Di Buyu as the Immortal Alliance Upper Immortal extorted the Cloud Heaven Sect.

The Heavenly Dao Sect defeated the Heavenly Palace’s challengers in the Disciple Battle while Su Bai secretly stole the unfinished cauldrons. After Venerable Wutian entered the contest and threatened the sect, Su Bai killed him and secured ten wins, then turned his attention to the Heavenly Palace’s sacred beasts.
