Ye Tong used his trash-picking system to grow stronger, befriended Luffy and his companions, and persuaded Dragon to pursue his own revolution while Ye Tong sought to clean up the world. He joined the Marines as a cleaner and ended the stretch by challenging Kuzan and asking about his dream.

• Ye Tong discovered his trash-picking system in Gray Terminal, gathered supplies, and spent half a year clearing the refuse and training before leaving for Foosha Village.
• Ye Tong befriended Luffy, Ace, and Sabo, met Shanks and the Red-Hair Pirates, and gained abilities by collecting their discarded items.
• Ye Tong met Dragon on Mount Colubo, challenged his plans for revolution, and told him to build his strength before seeking him again.
• Ye Tong defeated Sig’s bandits, subdued Ghost Bear with Conqueror's Haki, and reached Curly Dadan's home, where he met Garp and collected more trash.
• Ye Tong asked Garp to join the Marines as a cleaner, left with him, and learned Geppo after watching Garp use it against a Sea King.
• Ye Tong arrived at Marineford, persuaded Tsuru to assign him cleaning work, and began working under Carotell while collecting trash around the base.
• Ye Tong gave Carotell money to improve the staff’s meals, then challenged Kuzan at the training grounds and won their fight.
• Ye Tong made Kuzan throw down a bitten fruit, picked up its core to gain Observation Haki, and asked Kuzan what his dream was.

Ye Tong became Garp’s disciple, took a Marine ship to hunt pirates and gather trash, and turned captured criminals into workers for Pildac. After encountering Brook, he reached Dallobissno Island and confronted Corazon’s group, leaving them under orders to produce trash.

• Ye Tong refused Garp’s offer until Garp promised to take him wherever he wanted to clean, then gained Haki and swordsmanship from discarded items.
• After training and defeating Kuzan in a fight, Ye Tong accepted a colonel’s commission from Zephyr and received a warship, a crew, and the blade Muramasa.
• Ye Tong crossed the Calm Belt, killed a Sea King, and collected its body before reaching Pildac Island.
• Ye Tong lured pirates to Pildac, defeated and captured Ulrok, Dinardo, and Guladon, then arranged for the pirates to serve the kingdom and potentially earn citizenship.
• Ye Tong encountered Brook on a ghost ship, recognized him, and told him Laboon was still alive and that he should wait in the New World.
• On Dallobissno Island, Ye Tong cleaned a building occupied by Corazon and the Heart Army, then knocked out the underlings with Conqueror’s Haki.
• Ye Tong met Corazon that night, disarmed him with Spirit Echo, and told him to produce trash in peace.
