Yake saw that they were reluctant and did not press the issue.

It was like using magic in front of Muggles. It was indeed a little... shocking.

With a cry of alarm, Jane chased after a black SUV in frustration. Daisy and Erik exchanged looks, then ran after Jane as well.

Yake frowned. If he had guessed correctly, those had been S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. He had seen that man before on Black Egg's turf. Yake could only temporarily abandon the idea of taking Thor to find the Meow Meow Hammer and followed them to see what was happening.

The group arrived at Jane's workshop, where S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel were moving Jane out under the pretense of borrowing her equipment and research materials.

"Wow, Mr. Yake, I didn't expect to run into you here. Do you remember me? I'm Coulson. We've met before."

Coulson looked rather surprised at the tall Yake behind Jane. He mulled over why Yake had come here, and no matter how he thought about it, the only answer seemed to be that hammer.

"This is my mentor, Dr. Erik. What are you doing?"

"Damn it, what are they doing? They're taking my research! These are my lifeblood! You're just taking them without a word!"

Jane was extremely agitated, flailing as she tried to snatch her research back from the agents. But the agents were very firm. No matter what Jane said, they insisted on helping her move out. If Erik had not held her back, she probably would have scratched their faces.

"Yake, don't you know them? Please talk to them. I made this equipment myself! What good is money to me?"

Jane looked helplessly at Yake. Yake indicated that there was nothing he could do. For the time being, he did not want too much involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D.
