Beginning of the Great Battle

Thanos teleported down from the ship, planted his double-edged blade into the ruins, and waited quietly.

Before long, the three heroes arrived—or rather, Stark, Steve, and Thor. They had already prepared for battle and advanced side by side until they stood before Thanos.

"Not willing to accept defeat? And what will that change? You still have to face me..."

"I thought that by eliminating half of all life, the other half could prosper. But you proved to me that it was impossible. So long as people remained attached to the past, they could never embrace the future. They would always resist."

"That's right. We're just that stubborn."

"Thank you, because now I know what I must do. I'll reduce this universe to atomic dust, then use the Stones you helped me find to create a new universe—a universe where life bears no resentment over what was lost."

Thanos slowly rose to his feet, removed the helmet from his blade, and pulled it from the ground. Pointing its edge at Stark and the other two, he said calmly, "A universe that knows gratitude..."

Steve raised his shield. "A universe steeped in blood debt."

"They will never know, because you won't live to see it."

With Thor's battle cry, the three-on-one battle began.

At the same time, Yake handed the Infinity Gauntlet to Clint and returned to his own universe with the Soul Stone.

"You're back so soon?"

"No, I only brought the Soul Stone back first in case anything happened. Hancock, this is your ring."

Yake handed Hancock a Soul Ring glowing with orange light.

"I still have to make another trip. It's been a long time since I last fought."

Yake smiled and winked at Robin. Robin shook her head and opened the passage again.
