Though he could not snap his fingers and wipe out these small fry directly, the power of five Infinity Stones was not to be underestimated.
Yake naturally would not let Thanos have his way. He had played enough; it was time to clear the field. As Thanos charged at Stark, Yake sent him flying with a kick.
"Give it to me. I'll end all of this."
Yake held out his right hand toward Stark. Five ancient rings rested quietly on each of Yake's fingers. Stark let out a long breath, and the five Stones fell away one by one, automatically merging into Yake's Infinity Ring.
Taking on the power of five Stones at once felt rather intense, but Yake's physical strength had long since reached its peak. Such minor side effects were nothing to him. The next second, he vanished from where he stood.
"Thanos, it seems your dream cannot come true. Farewell..."
Yake seized Thanos by the throat with one hand. No matter how Thanos struggled or resisted, it was futile. The power of the Infinity Stones eroded his entire body, and the light radiating from him grew ever more dazzling.
"No, no!!!"
Thanos turned to ashes amid unwilling wails. With their backbone dead, Thanos's troops had no will to fight any longer and only wanted to flee. But Captain Marvel had already rammed their warships to pieces. There was no way back for them.
The alien forces dwindled one after another, and peace returned to the battlefield. Only the cheers of the human armies remained. All the named superheroes had survived; no one had been lost.
Natasha and Stark, who would have died in the original timeline, both survived and continued protecting Earth's peace.
