The Cemetery.
It was eerily quiet.
Only the faint patter of rain against the gravestones could be heard.
Roya walked through the Cemetery, searching the names on the gravestones for Kuina's.
At last, his search paid off.
He found Kuina's name in a corner.
"How sad. She wanted to make her name known across the seas and become the World's Greatest Swordswoman, yet even in death, she was buried on the very edge of the Cemetery."
Roya shook his head and said nothing more.
He simply took the Soul-Returning Sword, which the system had rewarded him with earlier, out of the System Space.
The Soul-Returning Sword was a broken blade set with gemstones. It looked mysterious and beautiful.
"You always dreamed of becoming the World's Greatest Swordsman. You can't want your life to end like this. Let me see how strong your resolve is."
As Roya finished speaking, he drove the Soul-Returning Sword into the ground before Kuina's gravestone.
In an instant, a mysterious glow enveloped the entire Cemetery.
Within the glow, Roya could see wandering souls.
Yet in the vast Cemetery, Kuina's was the only figure he saw, hovering above her gravestone.
She was curled up like a baby, a sight that stirred an instinct to protect her.
And yet this girl harbored ambitions most people could scarcely imagine.
"Hey, are you planning to keep sleeping?"
Roya's voice seemed to reach Kuina's ears, though she was now a soul.
Kuina slowly opened her eyes.
She looked at Roya, her delicate brows drawing together. "Who are you? Didn't I die? Why can I still hear your voice?"
She could still recall that piercing, bone-deep pain.
"Do you still want to keep striving to become the World's Greatest Swordsman?"
