Goku and the others walked into the Chinese restaurant they often visited. The owner immediately broke into a warm smile when he saw them and hurried over. "Oh my, the big eaters are here again today! Welcome, welcome!"
"Haha, make sure you bring me something special today. I need at least a few dozen bowls of noodles!" Goku said with a grin, patting his stomach.
"You're absolutely right! With big eaters like you here today, we need to prepare an even bigger feast!" The owner's eyes lit up as he waved toward the kitchen, immediately having them start on extra-large portions.
The others each ordered several dishes they liked as well, nearly clearing out the menu. Everyone picked their favorite food: Yamcha ordered several meat dishes, Bulma chose some healthy vegetarian dishes, Krillin ordered plenty of soups as usual, while Launch picked several intensely spicy dishes. Clearly, she had quite an appetite today.
Looking at the menu they had ordered—practically enough to stretch for dozens of feet—the owner wore a smug smile. I'll be able to buy a new car again next year! These people really do let me live well every time they come here.
As they ate, laughter never stopped. Though they had just gone through a thrilling battle, the dining table was filled with joy and ease. Goku wolfed down his food while still joking with everyone. "Come to think of it, Piccolo left today, but he'll definitely come back to challenge me someday."
Bulma raised an eyebrow. "You're always so optimistic. It actually makes me a little worried. What if things go wrong next time?"
"Then I'll just fight back! Anyone who doesn't get beaten to death is a good opponent!" Goku said carelessly through a mouthful of food.
