When Goku and Chichi returned to Ox King's castle, Ox King was anxiously waiting outside. Seeing them return safely, he immediately asked, "How did it go? Did you borrow the Banana Leaf Fan?"
Goku shook his head and replied, "No, but the old man came himself."
"What?" Ox King's eyes widened instantly at those words, and he was so excited he nearly jumped up. "Master Mutai came? That's wonderful!"
Chichi was curious as well. "Is Master Mutai really that powerful?"
Ox King nodded, seeming to recall the days of old. "Of course! Master Mutai is invincible. There are countless things he can do!"
At that moment, Master Roshi slowly flew over and arrived before Ox King.
Ox King respectfully bowed before Master Roshi, praising him repeatedly. "Master, you are as imposing as ever. It has been far too long!"
Master Roshi smiled faintly and waved a hand. "Ox King, you haven't changed much either." With that, he climbed onto a large boulder and looked down at the raging flames on Frying Pan Mountain.
Goku held his breath nearby, knowing full well that Master Roshi's Kamehameha was no joke, though its windup was a little long. Bulma and Chichi, meanwhile, watched with curious expressions.
"Can that old man really put out a fire like that?" Chichi asked, blinking.
Bulma shook her head, her face full of doubt. "I don't know either, but judging by the way he looks, he probably isn't ordinary, right?"
"Look!" Goku suddenly pointed ahead.
"Master Mutai's ultimate move, the Kamehameha, is coming!" Ox King said nervously.
The skeletal-thin Master Roshi suddenly let out a roar. Like a beast that had just been unleashed, he instantly transformed into a muscular powerhouse. His wrists clenched, his palms opened, as though gathering endless power. His whole body trembled faintly, and the lines of his muscles gleamed in the firelight.
"Ka... me... ha... me... ha!" Master Roshi bellowed, his voice like thunder, making the air around them tremble.
Following Master Roshi's roar, a massive Ki Wave blazed like a scorching sun, illuminating all of Frying Pan Mountain. It shot straight toward the flames, instantly tearing through the searing air.
"Look!" Bulma and Chichi cried out in surprise, their eyes wide with shock.
The Ki Wave struck Frying Pan Mountain in an instant, erupting with an earth-shattering roar. The entire mountain exploded at that moment, and the frenzied energy annihilated both rock and flame, reducing everything to ruins. Before that power, the fire vanished without a trace in an instant, leaving behind a scorched smell in the air.
Having witnessed it firsthand, Goku could not help but marvel. "Master Roshi's attack must have a power level of over a hundred!"
Chichi and Bulma stared wide-eyed at the scene, their faces filled with shock. "Is this Master Mutai's power?"
Ox King wore a proud expression as well, fully aware that his master's strength was anything but ordinary.
Bulma immediately took out the Dragon Radar and began locating the Dragon Ball amid the ruins. At that moment, Goku recalled Master Roshi using the Kamehameha, and curiosity and longing rose in his heart. He decided to give it a try himself. Copying Master Roshi's movements, he concentrated his energy into his palms. The energy throughout his body gathered like a tide, growing increasingly powerful.
"Kamehameha!" Goku shouted, thrusting both palms hard toward a distant rock. A Ki Wave shot out instantly and slammed into the rock like lightning, producing a deafening boom. A huge hole was blasted through the rock, sending fragments flying everywhere.
By chance, Yamcha had been hiding behind that rock. Terrified by the power of the Ki Wave, he fled in a panic.
Goku secretly thought, I really did inherit this body's talent for martial arts. I can use the Kamehameha so easily.
When Master Roshi and Ox King saw that Goku could use the Kamehameha too, they were shocked despite its weak power. Ox King said excitedly, "As expected of Gohan's grandson. He really is talented!"
Upon hearing Goku's identity, Master Roshi felt a surge of emotion. He walked over to Goku and asked with concern, "How is your grandfather Gohan these days?"
Goku lowered his head and said sadly, "Grandpa has already passed away."
"What a pity," Master Roshi sighed. "A genius like him should have been properly cultivated." He paused, and his eyes softened. "Goku, would you like to train on my little island? With your talent, you will surely surpass me in the future."
Goku thought for a moment before saying, "I'll go after I find the Dragon Balls."
"Good. I'll be waiting for you," Master Roshi said with a smile and a nod.
After some effort in the ruins, Bulma finally found the glittering Dragon Ball. She quickly checked the Dragon Radar and discovered that the last Dragon Ball was located to the west. Bulma jumped up excitedly, climbed onto her motorcycle, and prepared to set off.
However, Master Roshi was still staring fixedly at Bulma, greed gleaming in his eyes. Goku felt a burst of anger, but helpless before Master Roshi's strength, he could only endure it.
At that moment, Chichi walked up to Goku, her face full of expectation. "Goku, when you grow up, come find me, okay?" Goku's heart jolted. He understood that Chichi hoped he would marry her once he grew up. However, he secretly pondered, Chichi's personality isn't right for me. In the original story, she wanted Goku to fight less, and she even hoped their son would become a scholar. Study? That isn't the life a lousy student like me wants. Bulma or Android 18 would both suit me better than Chichi.
So Goku firmly shook his head. "Sorry, Chichi."
Tears burst from Chichi's eyes when she heard that. She turned and ran away. Goku watched her retreating back, his heart full of mixed emotions, but he understood what he wanted to pursue.
Goku sat on Bulma's motorcycle and gently wrapped an arm around her waist. Accompanied by the engine's roar, they headed west.
Goku thought, In the world of Dragon Ball, personal strength is what matters most. In the original story, after Bulma gathered all the Dragon Balls, Oolong used her first wish to ask for a pair of panties. That's also why I won't let that lecherous pig join us.
Not long after, a city appeared ahead. Goku's eyes lit up as he recalled that it was Rabbit Gang territory.
