Background / History

Android 18 awakens in Dr. Gero's laboratory after Goku defeats Android 20. Her internal scanner identifies Goku, though his status is listed as unknown. After Android 17 destroys Gero's backup control device, she accepts their freedom from Gero's orders and helps awaken Android 16. Unlike Android 16, she has no interest in killing Goku; she would rather shop for clothes. Seeing Goku destroy Android 16 in one strike, she and Android 17 leave rather than challenge him. 112
