Background / History

A fused version of Broly was created through Dark King Fu’s fusion experiments and deployed against Vegito after the Cosmic Tree began to wither. Initially overwhelmed, he became stronger through combat and transformed into Super Saiyan 4, forcing Vegito to use Ultra Instinct before being defeated and carried back from a nebula. 263 264 265

In another conflict, Demon God Towa used the Seven-Star Dragon Ball to turn Broly into a weapon for the Dark Demon World. The Dragon Ball’s influence intensified his rage beyond Towa’s control; Kakarot Xeno later extracted it from Broly’s chest, causing his power to fade. 276

Goku and Hotaru later found Broly living with Paragus on the harsh Planet Vampa. Broly was wary of Goku, recognized him as Kakarot, and accepted Hotaru’s challenge because he needed an outlet for his frustration. Goku created an independent battlefield so their fight would not destroy Vampa. 315

Hotaru repeatedly defeated Broly by exploiting his lack of control, eventually using Ultra Instinct to knock him unconscious. Despite Paragus’s objections, she declared that Broly was qualified to be her boyfriend. 316 317 318 Broly and Paragus subsequently traveled to Earth with Goku and Hotaru, where the Z Fighters welcomed them into their home. 320

At Goku’s recommendation, Hotaru trained Broly in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Broly demonstrated his newfound control before King Vegeta in the past.
