A gentle breeze swept through, rustling the neatly arranged plants in the courtyard.
Dawn lay in Monet's soft embrace, resting with his eyes closed.
"A little harder on the left."
Monet chuckled and adjusted the pressure of her fingers. Her pale green hair cascaded down like a waterfall, brushing across Dawn's cheek.
"You seemed especially tired today."
Dawn opened his eyes, the pale sky reflected in his pupils.
"Yeah. I hadn't expected Loki to improve this much."
Over the past few years, he had traveled to Elbaf every so often to spar with Loki, the Giants' prince, or Harald. Just over ten minutes ago, he had returned from several days of fierce battle with Loki, and only then had his exhaustion begun to show.
Suddenly, a series of light footsteps broke the courtyard's tranquility. Sugar ran in wearing a white dress, her fruit-green short hair somewhat messy and her little face filled with resentment. She planted her hands on her hips, stood a short distance from Dawn, and stomped her foot hard.
"Brother-in-law! I can't wait any longer! Why won't you let me eat that fruit?"
Monet immediately glared at her younger sister, sternly signaling for her to leave.
"Sugar, don't disturb your brother-in-law while he rests."
Sugar selectively ignored her sister's warning. She ran straight to Dawn, grabbed his arm, and began shaking it.
"Please, Brother-in-law! I want to eat the Hobby-Hobby Fruit right now! Right now! Immediately! They all ate Devil Fruits, and now I'm the only one who isn't a Devil Fruit user."
Dawn sat up, leaving an empty space in Monet's embrace. He lifted Sugar onto his lap, his fingers running through her fruit-green short hair.
"All right, I promise. You can eat the Hobby-Hobby Fruit."
