However, Baby-5's face showed obvious disgust upon hearing those words, and she even stomped her foot exaggeratedly.

Adams knew Baby-5's personality—her extreme desire to be needed and how easily words could mislead her—better than anyone.

To keep her from being easily sweet-talked away by someone else like in the original course of events, Adams had arranged an engagement with her early on, plugging that loophole.
