Two guards were leaning against the doorframe in boredom. Strange weapons hung at their waists, products of Sky Island's unique dials combined with Blue Sea technology, gleaming with a cold, hard luster.
Suddenly, a group of figures approached from afar. The leader was especially conspicuous—his earlobes hung to his shoulders, and his expression was arrogant, carrying an air of utter contempt for all else.
The guards immediately grew alert, straightening up and placing their hands on their weapons. They stepped forward a few paces and shouted aggressively:
"Stop right there! This is the Birka Security Station, not a place ordinary people should be!"
Enel acted as though he had not heard them. He could not even be bothered to spare the guards a proper glance, merely throwing back his head and letting out his signature laugh:
"Yahahaha... Mortals, prostrate yourselves and welcome your new god!"
The guards exchanged looks. The tension on their faces instantly turned to bewilderment, and they began sizing Enel up as if he were an idiot.
One of the older guards impatiently waved his hand as though shooing away a persistent stray dog:
"Hey, hey, kid. You're not that young anymore, so why are you still immersed in such unrealistic fantasies? Get out of here! Go have your brain checked at a hospital. This isn't a place for you to make trouble!"
They had clearly taken Enel for a mentally unstable madman. His arrogant declaration was treated as nothing more than delirious rambling, not something to take seriously.
To have his "divine proclamation" ignored and even mocked like this made Enel's carefree smile freeze instantly. His face darkened until it seemed water could drip from it.
