The captain of the guard squad was an experienced former pirate. Adams slowly stepped out from the group. His tone was calm, even polite, but his words made every guard soldier's pupils constrict.

"I am the captain of a pirate crew, and I have been a little short on funds lately. I have long heard that the Flower Country is immensely wealthy and deeply established, so I came here to 'borrow' some money from your country to ease my urgent needs."
