The Wood Clone froze for a few seconds when he saw the two of them appear.

Then he abruptly rose to his feet.

"You still remembered to come back?"

The Wood Clone strode up to Fang Xu.

He looked at Fang Xu, then at the hands the two were holding, and his expression darkened even further.

"You went off to another world for fun."

"I stayed in Konoha and guarded things for you for over a year!"

"The construction crew came to me to settle their payments."

"Kakuzu sent the account books over every month."

"Gato and his son needed more Potions."

"The Hokage Tower kept sending people to ask about your whereabouts."

"Those people in Root needed to remain undercover."

"The laboratory, Potions, workshop, new house—I had to handle all of it!"

The more the Wood Clone spoke, the angrier he became.

"Kakashi, Kurenai, Obito, and Rin came looking for you every few days."

"I was also responsible for replying to the letters Teacher Sakumo sent back from the front lines."

"Minato asked about his Flying Thunder God insights, and I had to pretend to be you while discussing them with him."

"Do you know how I spent this past year?"

Fang Xu coughed lightly.

"Thanks for the effort."

"This isn't something a simple 'thanks for the effort' can solve!"

The Wood Clone pointed at himself.

"I didn't even have time to train."

"Every day when I opened my eyes, all I saw was your damn mess!"

Nazi stood nearby, carefully studying the Wood Clone.

His appearance.

His aura.

His Chakra.

Even some of his spiritual fluctuations were extremely similar to Fang Xu's.

This was not an illusion.

It was a physical clone capable of acting independently and existing for extended periods.

"He could exist independently for a year?"
