Background

Fang Xu is the orphaned son of Fang Naoto, a deceased Konoha jōnin, and a mother who also died on a mission. His family records identify him as a descendant of a Senju branch that adopted another surname after integrating into Konoha’s ordinary household system. He later deduced this heritage from the Thousand Hands Swordsmanship Insights left by his parents. 26 29

Before his rapid growth, he was viewed as an unremarkable Ninja Academy student with average chakra, ninjutsu talent, and taijutsu. Kakashi considered his appearance his only notable quality. 7
