Yang Yi joined the Qiao Household, traded his Body Tempering Technique for cultivation resources, and pushed himself in the Yin-Yang Pool while the Source Crystal showed signs of damage. The Qiao Household sent him with Lü E’s team to Clearwind City, where a trap scattered them and left Lü E poisoned as they regrouped.

• Yue Jian revealed herself to Yang Yi as a white fox, gave him cultivation knowledge and a cloth bag, and left after explaining that the Source Crystal had backlashed against her.
• Yang Yi began cultivating and discovered that the Golden Light and Source Crystal could repair his injuries, while he and Yang Yong killed Black Bear after the bandits attacked them.
• Yang Yi killed Iron Eagle while rescuing Qiao Wuwang, then accepted an Attendant position at Qiao Family Fort and brought his family to live in Bamboo Garden.
• Yang Yi offered Qiao Yaoyao his Body Tempering Technique in exchange for Myriad-Treasure Dew, free Martial Hall access, and entry to the Yin-Yang Pool, then taught the technique to Yang Yong.
• Yang Yi cultivated in the Yin-Yang Pool and used the Source Crystal to intensify its opposing forces, but discovered that wielding its power of creation caused another crack.
• Yang Yi emerged from seclusion without reaching the Mistblood Realm, learned that Yang Ya had taught Yang Yong, and received orders to join Lü E’s mission to Clearwind City.
• Lü E’s team tried to abduct Song Huaijin at Eternal Celebration Tower, but eight Lan Blood ambushed them, forcing Yang Yi to help Qin Siniang escape over the city wall.
• Yang Yi carried the injured Qin Siniang to their hideout, where Lü E and Zhuang Laosan returned wounded and revealed that Shadow Hall had arranged the trap and supplied two Lan Blood.

Yang Yi led a small group to reclaim Falling Moon Market, defeating Black Wind Stronghold’s leaders and securing the market for the Qiao Household. After using the Moonlight Essence to strengthen weapons and teach his companions, Yang Yi faced Hu Zhang, who arrived seeking revenge.

• Yang Yi led Qin Siniang, Shen Qian, and Zhuang Laosan through Song Du’s forces, killing Song Du and Song Can before defeating Zhao Buyou and capturing Lin Hongyao and Wang Han.
• Lü E reported Yang Yi’s achievements to Qiao Yaoyao, and Yang Yi exchanged his merit for a promised Yin-Yang Pool session before accepting the mission to retake Falling Moon Market.
• Yang Yi exposed and killed Shi Zhongtang, forced Lu Qianshan to take charge of Golden Saber Hall, and used the hall’s forces to kill Duan Hong and capture Falling Moon Market.
• Yang Yi led the assault on Black Wind Stronghold, killed Cloud Leopard, and ordered the spoils distributed and compensation paid to the families of fallen fighters.
• Lu Qianshan showed Yang Yi the Moonlight Essence at Falling Moon Peak, and Yang Yi used the Source Crystal to transform the saber and sword beneath it.
• Yang Yi taught his Body Tempering Technique to Qin Siniang, Shen Qian, and Lu Qianshan, while Qiao Yaoyao received news of his victories and warned him that Hu Zhang might attack.
• Hu Zhang ambushed Yang Yi at Stone Manor, injured him in their first exchange, and continued fighting after Yang Yi cut apart his spear and Hu Zhang shattered the Moonlight Essence Sword.
• Lu Qianshan threw Yang Yi the Moonlight Essence Blade and charged Hu Zhang, who struck him aside, while Yang Yi fought Hu Zhang with the blade.
