Background

Xie Xiuji initially introduced himself as a twenty-year-old eldest disciple of True Person Liu Yi of the Heavenly Feather Sect while suffering from amnesia. His restored memories reveal that he is actually over five hundred years old, the personal disciple and successor of Red Cloud Peak’s ascended Immortal Venerable Yinglian, and the Sword Sect’s Sword Venerable Mingxiao 4 6.

After a Mahayana tiger demon escaped the weakened seal between the Human and Demon Realms, Xie killed it but was left severely injured and without his memories. A prophetic dream showed the fate awaiting him if he remained vulnerable: evil cultivators would remove his spiritual root and immortal bones, righteous sects would drain his heart blood for Dao-comprehension pills, and he would be cast into the Demon Realm, where forbidden methods would turn him into a Half-Demon 6.

Song Zhizhi’s intervention changes this fate. Her presence prevents the prophetic nightmare from becoming a heart demon, and Xie awakens with his memories restored.
