The queens looked toward the queen lying dead on the ground. Their faces turned grim, and they united against their enemies, wands in hand as they searched the crowd for Wang Zong and Nameless.
Suddenly, a string of screams rose from below. The queens turned toward the sound. Playing-Card Soldiers were torn limb from limb, their remains flying up with the flesh of several spectators like bursting fireworks.
The queens gripped their wands, but confusion seized them. They could find neither Wang Zong nor Nameless.
Where were their enemies?
The masked queen's expression suddenly shifted. She raised her wand and pointed. A rainbow fell, turning the remains of the Playing-Card Soldiers into real fireworks that scattered through the air.
Whoosh!
A diamond-shaped shard of porcelain pierced the fireworks, only to be struck by another rainbow. In an instant, it dissolved into colorful mist.

Having fended off Wang Zong's attack, the queens were delighted. One of them spoke at length, convinced victory was already theirs.
But just as the Red Queen stood with her nose in the air, delivering her opinion in a shrill, vicious voice, a spear punched through a Playing-Card Soldier and pierced her enormous head.
After that strike, Nameless crushed the teapot lid on his head and flung the fragments away. They shot toward the other queens like flowers scattered by a celestial maiden.
