These statues could never have been a match for Nameless and the others.
Lucifer returned to Lin Renmei's side. The last statue in the arena had been torn to pieces, yet she was not happy. Instead, she sighed. "Just as I thought... my battle instincts are nowhere near yours, Renmei."
"Then practice more!" Lin Renmei said.
Battle instincts could not be learned through study alone. Only by tempering oneself in real combat could they grow sharper and purer.
No one could master them in a single leap.
Aries Palace smiled. "It's finally my turn. I hope my opponents are interesting."
At heart, he was a combative ram. Simply watching Nameless and the others fight had stoked his desire for battle higher and higher. Now his hands were itching, and he desperately needed to hit something to scratch that itch.
Once Aries Palace entered the arena, three statues followed him in.
These three were a little different. Two flanked the statue holding a long blade, like underlings guarding their boss.
Aries Palace looked the three statues over, then turned to the little divine statue and smiled. "Let's begin. I can't wait to hit something."
The little divine statue immediately declared the match underway.
The two underlings leaped to either side of Aries Palace. One had arms that could separate like nunchucks. They extended in an instant, its fists swinging toward him along bizarre paths.
The other wielded two curved blades, spinning them like fans. Then they abruptly accelerated, sending a dense flurry of pale-blue blade energy sweeping toward Aries Palace.
Aries Palace did not take them lightly. These statues had all sorts of minor flaws, but they were formidable fighters.
Their destructive power was not especially high. Blowing up a planet with one punch would have been difficult for them, yet
