The Soul-Light turned to flame, and the bones on the ground slowly rose.
Flesh rapidly filled out the skeleton. Muscles grew. Nameless came back from death.
The process was agonizing beyond measure—worse than death itself. Every new patch of skin brought unbearable pain. If his resolve faltered even slightly, the Soul-Light would dim again, and his return to life would be cut short.
Half an hour later, Nameless stood naked where he had fallen. He blinked, then opened his mouth and made a hoarse sound. He could not move. He could feel his body, but he could not control it.
"Should we go over?"
