The volcanoes erupted.
Without warning, all twelve volcanoes erupted at once. Thick smoke billowed into the sky; the winds and clouds shifted color, and lightning flashed amid rolling thunder.
"I'm afraid we don't have time to gather the offerings," Nameless said with a frown, watching lava begin to pour from the distant volcanoes.
"We were both wrong," Lucifer said calmly. "We don't need offerings at all. We need to find the true Volcano God among the twelve zodiac animals."
Sure enough, torrents of lava erupted from a distant volcano the next moment. Instead of spreading out, the lava took the form of a Minotaur with only an upper body. It loomed over the volcano and roared at the sky.
Then a rat, a tiger, a rabbit, and the other animals appeared, each looming over its own volcano as if it might break free of the mountain at any moment.
"Let's leave the conferment of godhood for next time," Lucifer said. "Right now, we need to deal with these huge creatures."
"It hasn't come to that yet," Nameless said with a smile.
As he spoke, countless Imaginary Flowers bloomed. On one side lay lava and billowing smoke; on the other, a dense sea of flowers. Countless blossoms floated in the air, driving back the smoke and darkness like suns.
"Attack."
At his thought, the Imaginary Flowers became cannon turrets. A dense barrage of Golden Scorching Suns hurtled forward, blasting the twelve lava-formed animals apart until they could no longer hold their shapes.
Nameless glanced at the stone pillars. A Titan's Hand seized one and flew into the distance. As soon as the rat regained its shape, the Titan's Hand drove the pillar into its body. The stone sank inside in an instant.
