Faceless closed its eyes and felt an endless stream of power flow from the mask on its back through every part of its body.
It felt as though it could kill its former self with a single punch. "What incredible power!" it exclaimed.
"Thanks for the compliment!" Nameless said with a smile.
Faceless looked at Nameless, and Metallic Coating instantly covered its body.
Although it had never devoured metal, it could use its innate power of mimicry to produce much the same effect as Nameless.
The main problem was that Nameless had too many abilities. Faceless had gained neither his memories nor his combat experience, so it had no idea which ability was strongest. It would have to test them one by one.
Layer after layer of Metallic Coating rapidly spread over its body. Feeling as though it could smash a planet apart with one punch, Faceless looked down, locked on to Nameless, and drove a fist toward him.
"Whoa, that's dangerous!"
Nameless dodged the punch with a startled cry.
The blow did not shatter the planet, however. When it struck the Flower Sea, it merely scattered a great many Imaginary Flowers.
Seeing Nameless dodge, Faceless hammered both hands at the ground in a frenzy. Nameless flitted through the gaps between its attacks like a butterfly. Every moment, it seemed he would be swatted dead in the next, yet he kept springing away unharmed.
It really does learn fast. Give one of them any ability, and it can quickly put it to good use. Nameless dodged another punch and looked up at the enormous Faceless.
Of course, he had no intention of wasting time on a Deathspawn Beast. He had yet to kill Faceless only because he wanted to see for himself just how far a Deathspawn Beast's potential could
