But even if Zhang Shouzhong knew he had misunderstood his own ability, he would not be able to manufacture special equipment right away.

It was like an illness that needed to be treated in stages.

First, he had to get used to incorporating familiar special materials into different pieces of equipment. This would help him grow accustomed to weapons having special effects, such as Firebird's burning flames or the Cold Pool Snake's freezing chill.

Once he was used to weapons having special effects, he could go a step further and familiarize himself with those special pieces of equipment. Then he might be able to manufacture them.

Still, abilities did have boundaries.

His ability was Fat Technology, so he could not create things that occurred naturally.

The simplest example was that he could not create a piece of marble, but he could use fat energy to create a marble statue.

Nor could he replicate objects created purely through superpowers.

For instance, Xu Zheng, the captain of the Investigation Team's Shen Team, had an ability called Death Scythe. It allowed him to create a black scythe that absorbed the concept of death.

Equipment produced by superpowers like this also counted as an innate creation, so Zhang Shouzhong could not manufacture it.

By the same reasoning, he could not replicate Zhang Ping's Contract Gems or King's Gems either.

But he could manufacture special equipment made with superpowers assisting in the process, because those superpowers merely served as tools during production. The special equipment itself was a "technological product."

After all, even technology that defied explanation was still technology!

Next, everyone helped brainstorm a tailor-made "Superpower Rehabilitation Plan" for Zhang Shouzhong. At the same time, they all realized that perhaps they did not understand their own abilities quite as well as they thought.
