The Dangerous Zhang Ping

"Are you really my dad?"

The chunk of flesh had a soft, mushy voice.

Zhang Ping smiled. "Without me, you wouldn't exist. You came into being because of me. Round things off a little, and yes, you could say that."

"I guess that's true. Then why do you want to eat everyone, Dad?" the chunk of flesh asked innocently.

Zhang Ping smiled. "I don't want to eat everyone. I'm helping everyone take on a new form. Look at your big brother. Isn't he doing just fine?"

As he spoke, he pointed to the Rock Giant brawling with the White Ape.

The chunk of flesh cried happily, "So if I go back inside you, Dad, I can become like my big brother?"

"That's right. You definitely can!" Zhang Ping nodded.

"Then hurry up and eat me, Dad! Eat me!" the chunk of flesh urged.

"All right!"

Zhang Ping grinned and opened his mouth wide enough to swallow a man, then gulped down the chunk of flesh.

His mouth had been modified to split all the way back to his ears. Watching him eat meat was a horrifying sight.

As soon as he swallowed it, he felt the time needed to advance shrink dramatically. At the same time, he gained a new ability:

[Animated Fairy: Expend stamina to temporarily turn an inanimate object into a small fairy with healing abilities. The more stamina expended, the longer the fairy exists.]

Zhang Ping reached out and tapped the ground with one finger. A speck of dust instantly became a tiny fairy with four transparent wings.

"Dad, I'm out!" the fairy cried in delight.

Zhang Ping smiled. "How about Dad gives you a name?"

"Yay! Does my big brother have a name?" the fairy asked brightly, fluttering around Zhang Ping.
