The mass of energy slowly descended.
Directly beneath it, a man lay sprawled on the ground, barely alive. He had a knife wound at his waist, but the most obvious injury was the wound on his head.
A closer look revealed that the wound was exactly the same shape as the mass of energy.
Clearly, when the energy first arrived in this world, it had struck the man below and merged with his subconscious dreams. That was what had led to everything that followed.
But the fact that it could merge with someone's subconscious dreams was astonishing in itself.
The other Rescue Team members hurried forward to check on the man, while Nameless flew up to the mass of energy. He first tried to analyze it, but something curious happened.
Psychokinesis could not detect the energy at all. It passed straight through.
"Nonexistent?"
Nameless stared at the information on the screen in surprise.
The energy was right in front of him. How could it not exist?
Wait!
Could only living beings touch it?
Nameless thought for a moment, then tried to collect the energy with the Dragon Exoshell. Sure enough, because the Dragon Exoshell did not count as a living being, it passed straight through.
There were plenty of microorganisms in the air, but they had no self-awareness, so they apparently could not interact with the energy either.
Nameless emerged from inside the Dragon Exoshell. Standing on its arm, he cautiously reached out.
If his guess was right, he should be able to touch the energy himself. Something interesting might even happen—perhaps it would create something like an O-Shaped Space.
To be honest, he was curious what shape his own "O-Shaped Space" would take.
Lin Renmei noticed what Nameless was doing and immediately flew over to watch out for him.
