As soon as the Horned Wizard fell, the surrounding space spun like a flower, its fragments swiftly fitting themselves together. In the blink of an eye, the shattered space was restored.
Nameless landed on the black earth once more. He looked toward the distant tower, curious to see what the next mage would do.
The Evil-Eyed Mage.
Judging by the name alone, he hardly sounded like a respectable character.
But when the Evil-Eyed Mage appeared, he caught Nameless by surprise.
The surrounding space rippled faintly, and an old man with a white beard appeared opposite Nameless. He wore a white suit and a hat with a golden eye painted on it.
"Young friend, please show me what you've got!" the Evil-Eyed Mage said with a smile, his eyes narrowing.
Nameless quickly replied, "I look forward to learning from you."
Then a beam of light struck him. He flew backward in an instant, hit the ground, and rolled several times before stopping.
Before he could react, dense volleys of light blasted in from every angle. They knocked him around like a ball, leaving fine cracks all over his body.
Without a doubt, the Evil-Eyed Mage's fighting style was to attack without pause once he started, hammering his target with an unbroken offensive.
Against most people weaker than him, or even a little stronger, that tactic was terrifying. Against Nameless, though, it hurt a bit.
The Evil-Eyed Mage was Level 199, while Nameless was Level 213—a full fourteen Levels higher. At such heights, the gap between each Level only grew wider.
Fourteen Levels might not sound like much, but in reality, it put one of them in the heavens and the other on the earth.
As the beams continued to pound Nameless, black river water gradually filled the cracks in his body.
