He took the glasses off his nose and gently wiped them with a cloth. His eyes narrowed slightly. His double in the Resource Tower had lost. Though he did not know who his opponent was or what they looked like, he knew he had lost.
When the Resource Tower first opened, he had been among the first challengers and the first to reach the 199th floor.
He had failed his challenge on the 200th floor, but as the first to clear the floors below it, he had received several special rewards. One allowed him to leave behind a double with exactly the same strength as himself to guard the 199th floor and face future challengers.
If a challenger defeated his double, he lost all his rewards for that month. If his double defeated the challenger, his rewards for the month increased.
But no one had challenged the 199th floor in a long time. The All Heavens and Myriad Realms held many powerful figures, yet only a few million could enter the Divine Treasure Space. Those among them with the strength to do so had challenged the 199th floor long, long ago and moved on to higher floors.
Among the new generation of cultivators, perhaps only one every few decades challenged the 199th floor, and few of them succeeded.
