Big Yellow then told Nameless about the Kiviadians' ability.
Their ability was called "One Thought Hell." When they encountered an enemy, their entire bodies erupted with energy of some mysterious attribute. Paired with a Spiral Spike, it could strike a target's vital point in an instant.
The attack was something like fate or cause and effect. It was practically guaranteed to hit.
Of course, if the enemy survived that strike, the Kiviadian would have almost no power left to fight back.
"That ability's pretty nasty," Nameless said after listening.
To be honest, he had no desire to face such an inexplicable attack. Among his many abilities, he had some with effects similar to First-Encounter Kill.
But he had no real use for abilities like that. He could swat weaker enemies dead with a flick of his hand, while stronger enemies usually had pretty good luck. The chance of triggering First-Encounter Kill was vanishingly small.
The Kiviadians' One Thought Hell was essentially an advanced version of First-Encounter Kill.
After thinking it over, Nameless immediately had Little Squirrel follow the Kiviadian. If the chance arose, he wouldn't mind adding a Kiviadian ability to the Dream River.
The ability wouldn't help him much, but who knew when it might come in handy if he collected it?
This Kiviadian was remarkably carefree. Spiral Spike in hand, he wandered blindly through the snow, apparently hoping to find enemies that way.
Little Squirrel didn't dare follow too closely. Her fur gradually changed from its usual color to snow-white, making her almost impossible to spot against the snow.
An hour later, the Kiviadian ahead suddenly stopped and turned his head to the right.
A man in a tank top came walking slowly across the snow, an enormous, extravagantly shaped axe resting on his shoulder. When he saw
