Nameless did not really understand why a drug that had been developed so well had ultimately turned into something like a zombie virus.
Unfortunately, the records did not contain the answer he wanted.
But that was normal. If some random file he found recorded such an important secret, he would instead have to wonder whether the record was genuine.
Next, he put his glasses back on and once again controlled the Search-and-Rescue Ball to gather more clues from the laboratory.
There was a strong chance that the X-Series Drug was what had turned this world into its current state. The more he learned, the better his chances of clearing the mission.
The Search-and-Rescue Ball returned to the laboratory and easily entered the residential area.
Normally, if many people had died somewhere and no one had dealt with the corpses, a large number of scavengers would inevitably gather there. Yet aside from the mottled bloodstains on the floor, the laboratory was far too "clean."
It felt as if something had personally cleaned the place out, sweeping away every last bit of "food."
There was still dust, of course. It blanketed the floor, and even the tables, chairs, and beds were covered in a layer of it. The Search-and-Rescue Ball had to clear away the dust before it could see what lay beneath.
The Search-and-Rescue Ball flew out of a room with a document clamped in its mechanical arm. When it entered the next room, a monster covered from head to toe in dust appeared before it.
The monster sat motionless on the bed. Its features had completely blurred away, making it look like a pale ghostly silhouette.
Startled by the Search-and-Rescue Ball's sudden arrival, the monster raised its head to look at it. Nameless immediately controlled the ball to leave the
