The Deep Sea Apostle worked with terrifying efficiency. It did not wait until Nameless reached a place before killing the Fusion Entities there.
Instead, it used Nameless's position as a center and widened its search circle by circle, killing every kind of Fusion Entity in an almost carpet-like sweep.
Virtually no Fusion Entity could withstand a single blow from it. Even one the size of a thirty- or forty-story building could not survive its space-rending fist.

The next few days of travel offered little worth mentioning. Nameless, however, read with relish, astonished by the strange gifts possessed by so many races.
Among the countless beings of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, humanity could hardly be called uniquely blessed. Too many races were born stronger than humans, with greater potential and even keener understanding.
Compared with those races, humans were practically trash.
Those races had proposed a theory: the Early-Born First-Mover Advantage Theory.
In short, they believed they lagged behind humans only because humanity had appeared earlier in the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.
Human predecessors had died throughout the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, leaving their wills behind. Though those wills had no trace or form, they bestowed a mysterious advantage upon humanity. That, the theory claimed, was why humans had always held the upper hand.
No one knew whether the theory was right.
Many other races accepted it, though. Some even sourly insisted that if their ancestors had been born as early, they too would surely be among the greatest races in the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.
"Interesting. So that's another way of looking at it."
Nameless could not help smiling when he finished the passage.
He turned to the second page and frowned. Sure
