In theory, Infinite Space could reach any world.

But that was only possible in theory. It did not mean Hawkins could immediately go wherever he pleased.

At present, there were three kinds of worlds Infinite Space could travel to directly.

The first consisted of worlds whose timelines Infinite Space had once devoured. If those worlds still had other timelines, they could be reached directly from Infinite Space.

The second consisted of worlds Hawkins had visited. His visit was effectively a mark left behind, allowing direct travel to those worlds as well.

The third and final kind consisted of worlds Infinite Space actively discovered under Hawkins's control. This was like fishing: nobody knew what sort of world they would encounter. It was entirely random.

For now, the first two kinds were the main worlds where Infinite City's residents carried out missions. The search for the third kind was still ongoing, but it was like scanning radio channels. Nobody knew when they might pick up a new world.

Infinite Space had never devoured a timeline belonging to the Knowledge Realm, where Mani wanted to go. Hawkins had never been there either, nor had he found its coordinates.

So if Hawkins wanted to take Mani to the Knowledge Realm, he would have to find a Wilhelm or a Shabi to guide them through the danger-ridden Dream Realm before they could reach it.

Of course, actually reaching the Knowledge Realm would benefit Hawkins considerably too. After all, it held vast amounts of knowledge, including many cultivation systems he had never even heard of. These systems came from other worlds within the World Hole. Even if some could not be practiced because of restrictions imposed by a world's rules, they could still broaden a person's horizons.
