The battle on the Arena continued.
Lafu could no longer tell whether Hawkins was truly strong or weak.
Because Hawkins now fluctuated between strength and weakness. Whenever she thought he was weak, he suddenly became very strong; whenever she thought he was strong, he suddenly became very weak.
Even Hawkins himself could not make sense of it. The main thing was that after entering Sage Mode, he had gained nothing more than a kind of intuition.
Put simply, it was the feeling of, "I can't explain the reasoning, but I know I can do it this way."
It was basically equivalent to the "I reckon" power of Warhammer's Greenskins.
Hawkins had entered Sage Mode several times already, but every time he did, when he wanted to defeat Lafu directly, a very peculiar feeling arose within him. The moment of destiny had not yet arrived; defeating Lafu now would not accomplish the goal he wanted.
So he decisively switched to circling around her, though even he did not know when he would be able to defeat Lafu.
Suddenly, Lafu stopped and asked, "Are you toying with me?"
"Why would I toy with you?" Hawkins let out a sigh of relief. Without entering Sage Mode, his stamina was quite limited, and the aftershock of the explosions had reduced his health bar to a mere sliver. Thankfully, Lafu had stopped attacking.
Lafu stared at Hawkins and said coolly, "I will not become a player as you wish, nor will I join any faction."
"Players are not a faction, but an identity. For example, Elf King is an identity. You are an Elf King, and they are Elf Kings too. Players will not become stumbling blocks in your path; they will only become your support!" Hawkins explained.
Suddenly, Hawkins entered Sage Mode. He smiled
