It was not that Datan's attacks were overwhelmingly powerful, but that they came without end, rolling on like an endless tide. Worse still, they were incredibly fast, leaving Martin unable to find even the slightest opening to strike back.

Datan was faster than him, but that was not the only reason.

But what was the point even if he knew his opponent had four arms?

Seeing through it did not mean he could deal with it.

Martin's overall attributes were indeed inferior to Datan's. While fighting underlings underwater was not much of a problem, facing Datan still left him falling short.

If this had been a hot-blooded manga, perhaps Martin would have roared a few unwilling cries, then the two would start blasting each other, until Datan shouted, "Nani? Impossible!" before Martin blasted him into dregs.

Such absurd, baseless, utterly idealistic things naturally would not happen in the Real World.

Perhaps some idealistic cultivators could accomplish such a thing, but Martin clearly could not.

His health was dropping rapidly, already pressed below one thousand. In another half second, his blood shield would be blasted apart, and he would have to endure Datan's attacks with his physical body.
