Martin spoke with mixed feelings, "Master, you should just tell me what the mission is."
"Kill someone," Hawkins said, looking at Martin.
Martin froze. This was the first time Hawkins had asked him to kill a person. In the past, it had always been killing monsters or simply gathering something.
"M-Master, who do you want me to kill?" Martin asked somewhat fearfully.
He was not afraid of killing people.
After all, Evil Beasts were people themselves, but at least everyone he had killed in the past had been heinous criminals who deserved to die.
What worried him was that the person Hawkins wanted him to kill might be a good person.
Hawkins glanced at him with a smile and answered, "The chief of Black Wind Stronghold!"
"Black Wind Stronghold!"
Martin had heard of this faction. He even knew that Black Wind Stronghold had committed countless atrocities across many worlds.
If it was a villain of that caliber, then he had no psychological burden.
The problem was that Black Wind Stronghold had run rampant throughout the heavens for many years and still stood firm today. Its chief was probably unfathomably powerful. Realizing the crux of the mission, Martin immediately looked at Hawkins with a miserable expression.
Seeing through his thoughts, Hawkins smiled. "Don't worry. He'll appear in the Sea of Heroes, and the Sea of Heroes is your home ground. Go without worry."
"Master, please don't say 'go without worry.' Every time you've said that before, I've ended up suffering. I'm going to do the mission now." Martin promptly surrendered and turned to run.
Every time Hawkins had told him to go without worry in the past, the outcome had always made it impossible to feel at ease. He had far too many unbearable memories, and all of them came after
