After turning dark, the Malignant Spirits had nothing but hatred in their hearts. They had lost the likes and dislikes of normal living creatures.
Under normal circumstances, any creature who met Aiou for the first time would feel some degree of fondness toward him. This came from Aiona's peerless charm. Although Aiou had inherited only a tiny, tiny fraction of it, his charm was still astonishing.
Normally, because like poles repelled, men who sensed that inexplicable fondness in their hearts would react with stress and instead become wary of, disgusted by, or impatient with Aiou. Most other creatures held no hostility toward him.
Of course, there were exceptions.
For instance, creatures influenced by the Abyssal Will, or creatures that bore a blood-deep hatred toward humanity, were much harder for charm to affect.
After ending the stream and thinking carefully, Aiou truly found quite a few clues. He should have realized much earlier that Fat Dragon and Lingzi had problems.
Even Wuwupa had been influenced by him without realizing it and had provided a great deal of information. Otherwise, why would Wuwupa, with no familial ties or friendship to him, treat him so well?
She traveled across countless worlds and had met more people than many would eat grains of rice in a lifetime. Even if she truly loved Wonder Spirits, that enthusiasm had gone too far.
On the other hand, ever since Lingzi met him, she had remained neither warm nor cold, while Fat Dragon had constantly worn a smiling face, looking like the nicest old fellow imaginable. No matter how he thought about it, something was wrong.
Although he could not rule out Lingzi being a tsundere, the fact that she was not obviously tsundere made it even stranger.
As for Fat Dragon, that was not really a flaw.
