(My first One Piece fanfic, please bear with me.)
(I haven't read past Wano, so this might differ quite a bit from what you know.)
Mary Geoise, the Holy Land.
Inside a lavishly decorated, pure-white bedchamber, a handsome young boy whose build still retained a touch of youth slowly opened his eyes and woke from a soft, oversized bed.
His gaze was hazy as he looked around at the entirely unfamiliar and supremely luxurious surroundings, murmuring in a low voice.
"Where is this?"
Just as his voice trailed off, a stunning, voluptuous woman with an alluring figure slowly knelt on one knee before him.
Her attitude was exceedingly respectful, and her tone carried a cautious, reverent awe.
"Great Saint Rosswald Charlos, this is the Holy Land of Mary Geoise. Have you forgotten?"
Rosswald Charlos shook his heavy head slightly, chaotic fragments of memory surging through his mind.
The second before, he was just an ordinary passerby on Earth, standing by the roadside to buy a pancake.
The next second, an out-of-control submarine suddenly plummeted from the sky, instantly crushing him into unconsciousness right on the spot.
When he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated into a young Celestial Dragon in this world of pirates.
A trace of sudden realization flashed through the depths of Rosswald Charlos's eyes, and he muttered to himself.
"Looks like... I've transmigrated."
Combined with the woman's address and this legendary Holy Land, he instantly sorted out his current situation.
He had become a high-and-mighty Celestial Dragon, positioned at the very pinnacle of the world.
At this thought, a brilliant light instantly lit up in the boy's eyes.
"Whoa, isn't this hitting the jackpot straight away?"
Rosswald Charlos's gaze fell back onto the stunning, kneeling beauty before him, and he spoke in a casual tone.
"Stand up."
Hearing this, the woman did not dare to show the slightest bit of defiance. Her figure rose lightly, and she stood straight in place, every movement fully displaying submissive propriety.
"Spin around."
Without a single moment of hesitation, she slowly spun around in place, her perfect bodily curves fully exposed.
Charlos swept his gaze up and down over her uninhibitedly, silently praising her in his heart.
Whoa, her figure really is quite nice.
He raised his eyes to look at her and asked offhandedly, "What is your name?"
"Replying to Saint Charlos, your subordinate's name is Akali."
Charlos nodded, the corners of his mouth curving into an easygoing smile.
"Akali, is it? Good name, tonight it's you."
Akali lowered her head and bowed, her expression respectful, not daring to raise the slightest objection.
Charlos looked out the window at the bright morning light and inquired casually.
"Is it morning now?"
"Replying to Saint Charlos, it is indeed early morning at the moment."
"Then go fetch today's newspaper."
Watching Akali's retreating back, Charlos quickly made calculations in his heart.
He needed to figure out the exact current timeline first.
Before long, Akali respectfully held a brand-new newspaper, hurried back into the bedchamber, and handed it to Charlos with both hands.
Charlos took the newspaper, his gaze immediately sweeping to the date printed at the top: Year 1498 of the Sea Circle Calendar.
The massive headline on the front page prominently featured the news that Roger had just been executed.
Charlos stared at the text on the newspaper, understanding forming in his heart.
The Great Pirate Era had just begun.
Fortunately, it wasn't the turbulent era after Luffy set sail.
As a young Celestial Dragon now, he still had plenty of time to enjoy the privileged life of the Holy Land.
The good life was only just beginning.
Charlos stood up, only to realize that Akali's figure was actually a head taller than his own.
He instinctively glanced down and gave a subtle look.
A moment later, he raised his eyes to look at Akali.
"Akali, you don't need to come tonight for the time being."
Hearing this, Akali did not ask a single half-question, bowing slightly as she answered, "Understood, Lord Charlos."
The palace doors pushed open violently, and a young girl barged in tempestuously, who was none other than Shalria.
"Brother Charlos, I've come to see you!"
Following right behind the girl was a snot-nosed, mischievous-looking little boy, who was Saint Charlos. A single glance from Charlos took in the sight of that snotty child, and a surge of disgust rose up from the bottom of his heart.
Akali lowered her head, respectfully retreating to the side without daring to look directly.
Shalria ran up to Charlos, shaking his leg as she chirped, "Brother, I ate my meals properly today, am I doing great?"
Yet Charlos's gaze did not fall on her, remaining fixed instead on Saint Charlos by the side with the snot hanging from his nose.
Charlos's line of sight fell upon Akali, and he opened his mouth to clamor, "Hey, I like this woman. Give her to me."
Charlos's brows knitted tightly together in an instant.
Shalria's expression sank, and she turned her head to scold, "Charlos, what did you tag along for? Get the hell out!"
Charlos clamored with complete nonchalance, "I was talking to my brother, not to you. How dare you talk back."
Hearing this, Shalria's anger surged upward, and she rushed forward to grab Charlos by the collar, throwing him straight out the door with all her might.
"It hurts! Ah!"
The cry of Charlos in pain came from outside the door.
Shalria turned her head back to look at Charlos, and the tyrannical aura from just moments before was swept clean, a flush of shyness blooming on her face as she asked in a small voice, "Brother, you won't think I'm very violent, will you?"
Charlos spoke indifferently, "No. Shalria, what did you come looking for me for?"
Shalria pulled on his arm with her eyes sparkling, "Brother Charlos, my father just bought a few slaves from the auction, and I specifically came to find you, wanting to take you to see those new slaves."
Shalria tugged on Charlos's arm, saying excitedly, "Yay, Brother, let's go take a look together."
Charlos nodded, then followed Shalria out of the bedchamber together.
The two arrived at a wide, massive courtyard, and standing motionless in the midst of the courtyard were several slaves bound in shackles. A man dressed in pirate attire struggled with all his might, roaring furiously, "Damned bastards! You bunch of animals!"
On the elevated platform of the courtyard, the patriarch of the Rosy Family held a teacup, sipping from it leisurely as he let out a light sigh.
"Yarund-yarund, what truly noisy slaves."
As his voice fell, he raised his hand to pull out a pistol, accompanied by a "bang" of gunfire.
That roaring pirate collapsed to the ground in response, perishing on the spot.
Charlos gazed at this scene before him, swallowing hard instinctively.
A sense of discomfort welled up within his heart, yet this body did not produce the slightest bit of resistance or a nauseated reaction.
Charlos felt a quiet sense of relief in his heart.
That's right, this was the body of a Celestial Dragon, and scenes like this were ones this body had already witnessed countless times.
The patriarch turned his head, his gaze falling upon Charlos.
"Yo, isn't this Charlos? You've come."
Charlos quickly searched through the residual memories in his mind, and only then did he realize that the person before him was not Saint Rosward from the original work, but the elder of this lineage, his own grandfather.
Charlos bowed slightly, offering a greeting, "Grandfather, I'm here."
Shalria by the side hurriedly rushed forward, clamoring, "Grandfather, what about me!"
Just at that moment, Saint Rosward walked out slowly from the side, his tone carrying a trace of displeasure, "Ya ya, Father, these batch of slaves don't seem very obedient."
His gaze swept toward Charlos, and within those eyes, resentment was unmaskedly packed to the brim.
Charlos understood instantly in his heart.
It seemed Rosward had not yet taken the position of family patriarch at this time.
Yet since he himself had come here, that position of patriarch would have not a single bit to do with him.
The patriarch of the Rosy Family spoke slowly, "Shalria, these are a few new slaves your father sent over; you and Charlos can each pick a few to take back."
Shalria immediately beamed with delight, "Yay, thank you, Grandfather!"
She turned her head to look at Charlos, her eyes filled with anticipation, "Brother, you pick first, okay?"
