Leon carefully savored the unfamiliar name. He knew what the sun was—it hung in the sky—but what was a Sun Warrior?
It sounded like someone who worshipped the sun, much like how the Holy Light Church always called its own knights Holy Light Knights.
For some reason, the scene he had seen at the bonfire suddenly surfaced in his mind: Gwyn, the one known as the Sunlight King.
Could it be related to him—no, to Him?
Speaking of which, the moment Delu returned from death, he had rushed off to the Magic Association in a nearby city without even resting. Leon was genuinely worried he might drop dead from overwork halfway there.
But Leon also wanted to know what exactly the scene at the bonfire meant.
"Tell me everything."
Malu began recounting what she had heard:
"Recently, an item called the Crooked Finger Summoning Potion has become popular. There's a place in the Swamp where you can reliably get five or six every time you enter. I even found out the exact location."
She said smugly, "Apparently, after using a Crooked Finger Summoning Potion in a dungeon, you can see golden and red Summon Signs. The golden ones represent Helpers, who can temporarily become companions and explore the dungeon with you. The red ones are called Fighters—once you summon one, you have to fight them."
Were people really so bored that they summoned hostile opponents in a hellish dungeon like this?
Did they think they were dying too slowly?
"Wait, wait. Let me process this."
Leon rubbed his brow, looking utterly confused as he asked:
"Are these so-called Helpers and Fighters actual living people, or something else?"
"What reason would they have to help or fight adventurers? What do they gain from it?"
