Professor Snape did not answer. Instead, he closed his eyes in pain, memories of his conversations with Headmaster Dumbledore flashing endlessly through his mind:
During the Easter holidays, Li Wei had suddenly disappeared in order to change his class to Bloodline Sorcerer.
Professor McGonagall had mobilized every member of the school staff and turned Hogwarts, along with the surrounding areas, upside down.
Naturally, Professor Snape and Headmaster Dumbledore could not stay in the castle drinking tea and eating pastries either. They had gone out to search as well.
Night had fallen deeply. As he walked through the dim garden, Professor Snape had not been particularly worried that Li Wei had come to harm.
Based solely on Li Wei's "feat" of taking on an entire house by himself, Professor Snape knew that Mr. Ravenclaw's Notebook would not encounter any danger at Hogwarts.
"Maybe that stupid eagle hid himself somewhere and thinks this sort of prank is funny!"
"Heh. Just as stupid as Harry Potter, that foolish lion!"
Professor Snape sneered inwardly as he walked.
If not for Deputy Headmistress McGonagall's orders, he, Severus Snape, the dignified Head of Slytherin and a great Potions Master, would never have come out searching for Li Wei like an idiot.
But it was truly cold today. When I get back, I need a hot cup of tea!
Rubbing his hands together, Professor Snape was still considering what pastries to have with his tea.
As he walked, a tall figure suddenly appeared in the depths of the garden. Professor Snape immediately raised his wand in vigilance and shouted:
"Who's there? State your name, or I'll act!"
Even though he knew Li Wei had most likely hidden himself, Professor Snape still could not rule out the possibility that Dark wizards or dangerous magical creatures had attacked him.
