Li Wei frowned as he listened to Meowthundercloud ramble on, meowing away. Why was this enormous black cat such a chatterbox?
After expressing its amazement that a human could understand cat speech, Meowthundercloud, perched in the tree, finally remembered Li Wei's question.
"Meow, my mistress wants to see you, so she sent me to bring you over!"
"How was I supposed to know you could understand me?"
"If I didn't knock you unconscious, how could I carry you to my mistress one by one in my mouth? You're making things awfully hard for a cat!"
Li Wei struggled to keep a straight face. Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, he said,
"Has it occurred to you that your mistress just wanted you to lead the way, and that we'd follow when we saw you?!"
Anyone would be curious if a black cat this enormous suddenly appeared in an unfamiliar forest!
Besides, Li Wei and the others weren't stupid. They were searching for Baba Yaga, and then an enormous black cat had suddenly appeared.
Whether he understood cat speech or not, curiosity alone would have led them to follow it and investigate!

Meowthundercloud looked stunned. Was that what its mistress had meant?!
Seeing the cat's astonished expression, Li Wei couldn't help laughing.
He waved his Magic Scepter, making Hermione and the others float asleep behind him, and asked Meowthundercloud,
"Come on, big kitty. Take me to your mistress!"
"And is your mistress Baba Yaga?"
Meowthundercloud leaped nimbly down from the tree, its long tail swishing, and began leading the way while asking curiously,
"That's right. My young mistress inherited the title Baba Yaga from my old mistress. They're all called Baba Yaga, just as cats like me are all called Meowthundercloud!"
