the tent flap lifted.

A Ghost Emperor over ten meters tall stepped inside. After surveying the tent, he looked at Weird Emperor Jiu Wu and smiled. "You've already put up your tent?"

"You've only just arrived. The boss was worried you'd be lonely, so he sent me to keep you company."

In truth,

the boss was worried Weird Emperor Jiu Wu would run.

His words sounded good, but who knew what he was really thinking? What if he decided he didn't want to be cannon fodder and fled? The Heaven-Slaying Clan had suffered heavy losses and could certainly use a Strange Tide of this size.
