After bathing and burning incense, Chen Fan brewed himself a cup of hot tea at his usual leisurely pace. He leaned back in his Rocking Chair and waved for Wang Kui to begin his report.

Wang Kui leafed through the inventory booklet in his hands and began his report. "We've finished taking stock of everything from the Provocateur Continent. First, the eerie stones."
"We found a total of 102.8 billion eerie stones. We brought back 46.8 billion on the first trip, leaving another 56 billion."
"Including the expenses of the Mortal Domain's Military Action against the One-Eyed Strange Entity Clan, we spent a total of 20.7 billion eerie stones."

"The Mortal Domain's remaining available eerie stones total..."
"...161.8 billion."
"Not bad."
Chen Fan nodded in satisfaction and took a small sip of tea. In truth, he felt that war was not necessarily a losing proposition. Although the Heavenly Dao Cannon was known as a money-devouring beast, with each shot driving costs through the roof,
proper deployment meant they did not need to fire many shots.
Most importantly,
the war had ended quickly enough that the enemy had barely fought back. That meant most of their eerie stones had not been consumed, but had remained safely in their warehouses. Had the fighting dragged on, even victory would have left the enemy continent with no eerie stones.
There were also the congratulatory gifts from those other continents.
Those amounted to a considerable sum, too.
