After hearing Nightmare out, Thanos nodded in understanding. "So what do you want?"

Whether the Dimension Lords had made a deal was none of his concern. He only needed to complete his task and obtain the Infinity Gauntlet.

"Heh, heh, heh..." Nightmare let out another strange laugh. "I'll give you some information, and you'll stay out of our way."

"What information could possibly make you think I'd abandon this task?" Thanos asked.

"Task?" Nightmare gave him an odd look. "Which god are you working for? I thought Death and the Celestials didn't get along. Don't tell me you betrayed Death and became Eternity's lapdog."

Clearly, Nightmare didn't yet know that Thanos had joined the Celestials.

"What does that have to do with your information?" Thanos asked impatiently.

Nightmare stopped laughing and nodded. "Fair enough. But I can tell you this: it concerns the S90909 Universe, and it concerns you."

A sense of danger suddenly gripped Thanos. The threat wasn't to him, but to several of his subordinates.

He turned toward Female Adam. She looked as puzzled as ever, as though she hadn't seen Nightmare at all and was still waiting for his answer.

"No need to look," Nightmare said. "I'm speaking to you inside your dream. She can't see me."

A dream within a dream? His tricks really were endless.

Thanos nodded. "What is this information? If it's truly important, I'll leave."

His own universe was where he intended to fulfill his ambitions. If the matter was serious enough, he didn't mind giving up the Infinity Gauntlet.

After all, he could find another way to make an Infinity Gauntlet. But if something happened to his universe, he would have nowhere to return to.
