Background and History

Thanos was once a person from Earth who found himself transformed into Thanos immediately after Titan’s destruction. Believing finite resources would eventually be overwhelmed by unrestricted population growth, he built a dictatorship around what he calls cosmic “balance.” More than 500 years later, he ruled 237 inhabited planets and 43 stars in the Panlong Galaxy 1.

After obtaining the Mind Stone on Ice Crystal Planet, he destroyed the planet and gained the Star-Absorbing Technique. Discovery of a wormhole to the Milky Way prompted an invasion: he mobilized the Black Order, built space fortresses, and prepared a fleet of more than 10,000 ships. His campaign brought him into a destructive confrontation with Odin and expanded into a wider conquest 6 7 9 10 22 26.

His rule eventually covered the Milky Way. He continued pursuing Infinity Stones and personal power while enforcing reproductive controls, rejecting Gamil’s demand that he restore his subjects’ freedom to have children. Later, he merged with the Milky Way’s black hole in pursuit of becoming a Dimension Lord 189 226.

Thanos is a purple-skinned Titan, approximately two and a half meters tall, with a heavily muscled build 213.

Thanos is disciplined and controlling. He trains relentlessly, demands improvement from his commanders, and reserves major decisions for himself even when he delegates military operations. He argues that managing reproduction offers a lasting solution to resource scarcity, unlike wiping out half of life 1 3 51 105.

He is also cautious about stronger or hidden powers. He refuses Doctor Doom’s proposed alliance when he suspects betrayal, declines to follow a course he believes others have arranged for him, and tests a neutron star before attempting to take material from a galactic black hole. That caution does not prevent him from sacrificing planets or manipulating entire factions when doing so serves his plans 44 101 123 194 211.
