With his immense physical strength, Thanos charged straight into the Zombie Nest.
The Zombies and monstrous mutated Zombies tried desperately to stop him, but he cut them down in short order.
When he reached the heart of the nest, he stopped in surprise.
At its center lay a Zombie that looked like a queen ant.
It was no actual queen ant, of course, but a Zombie Mother that produced Zombies.
The Zombie Mother had an enormous belly. Its lower body was ten times the size of its upper body, leaving it sprawled on the ground, unable to move.
When it saw Thanos arrive, the Zombie Mother could only let out a feeble hiss, as though trying to frighten him away.
Thanos was hardly intimidated. He strode forward, seized its head, and probed it with his psychic power.
After examining it for a while, he discovered that chips controlled the Zombies' brains. He also found traces of artificial synthesis in their DNA.
"These Zombies were bred artificially."
Now he was interested.
He hadn't expected to find anything so novel in the Quantum Universe.
After some thought, though, he decided not to investigate further.
The war in his own universe had only just ended, and he still had plenty to deal with. He had no time to pursue the Zombies' origins.
But since he had come to this universe, he wasn't about to leave empty-handed.
He soon removed the Zombie Mother's head and extracted a chip, intending to take them back for his subordinates to study.
Just then, tremors rippled through the universe, as though the entire universe were trembling in fear.
Thanos frowned.
A being beyond this universe's limits was trying to force its way in, making the universe groan under the strain.
